Panoramic views overlooking Kalkan

Brand new Villa Mirage is in an elevated position, with panoramic views overlooking Kalkan and the bay. Modern and contemporary in design, this luxurious detached fully air-conditioned villa features an attractive outdoor Jacuzzi that overflows into a 43 square metre private infinity pool.

The spacious marble pool terrace is furnished with sun loungers and parasols, comfortable sofa seating with coffee table, plus a BBQ and table and chairs for al-fresco dining. Welcome shade is provided by the unique roof design and the views from the pool and terrace are breathtaking.

The living area of the property is stylishly furnished with modern sofas, 42” LCD satellite TV, Apple TV box, DVD player, iPod dock and wi-fi.

The well-equipped kitchen features granite work surfaces and Siemens appliances, including dishwasher and a large fridge-freezer.

Adjacent to the ground floor cloakroom, is a laundry room with washer/dryer and sink.

There are four en-suite bedrooms  - two with a king-sized bed and a private balcony with amazing sea view. Each having a large marbled en-suite bath and shower room featuring a Jacuzzi bath and separate walk-in shower with rain-forest shower-head.  The two twin bedded rooms also have a private balcony with the sea view, and a marbled en-suite shower room featuring a walk-in shower with rain-forest shower head.

Heated Pool – on request, the pool can be heated, which makes Villa Mirage ideal for early and late season bookings.

Just a short drive from the villa you will find some stunning and secluded beaches.

Patara beach is approx 20mins drive, or you can take the local bus (dolmus) Here you will find 12 miles of golden sand, home to a protected colony of turtles.

Entrance to the beach is though the ruins of the ancient city. Kaputas beach is one of the most scenic in Turkey and is just a 10 minute drive towards Kas.

Beach Clubs

Kalkan has a small local beach but is best known for its many beach clubs which are easily accessible. These are decked areas, on the water’s edge, offering water sports, swimming, restaurant and bar facilities, all set in stunning locations with some of the best views in the bay.

Villa Mahal and Palm Beach offer a free water taxi service from the harbour. Kalamar beach club is in Kalamar Bay, and the Yali Beach club is close to the harbour.

There is usually a small charge for the day.


Diving – some of the best in the med. Contact the Kalkan Dive Centre, Kalamar Bay.

Watersports – available at the beach clubs – water skiing/ringos/jet skiing/bananas.

Canoeing along the Xanthos river.

Walking – the lush green countryside and rolling hills are perfect for long walks, with a few well-known trails to explore.

Gulet Trips can be chartered from the harbour along with a variety of private and larger options.

Moonlight cruises – also available at the harbour.

A 30 minute drive along stunning coast line, takes you to the busy town of Kas where you will find the ruins of Antiphellos.

Islamlar – close to Kalkan and situated in a cool, green valley is untouched by tourism.

Saklikent Gorge – home to the Xanthos River, following an expert guide you can enter the gorge – prepare to get wet!

Xanthos – the ancient Lycian capital was buried by an earthquake and is still being excavated. There is a magnificent amphitheatre and monuments dating back to Roman and Byzantine times.

Letoon – an important religious centre, with remains of temples to Let, Artemis and Apollo.

Kekova, Ucagiz and Kale – a boat trip taking in ancient cities, under-water remains and breathtaking scenery of the coastline.


Kalkan is well known for its wonderful restaurants. The choice is huge and the quality excellent, with options to suit all budgets. Generally, the closer you et to the harbour, the more expensive, but prices are still reasonable for the quality of food and service.

Try the many roof terraces for a unique dining experience.


Kalkan is a historic harbour town, an enchanting place in one of the most beautiful locations on Turkey's gorgeous Lycian/Turquoise coast.

Kalkan bay will take your breath away. It's crystal clear turquoise water, and mountains rise steeply behind it providing a dramatic and beautiful backdrop. Free from the influences of mass tourism, the town is unspoiled, upmarket and charming, with amazing views at every turn.

Strict building codes ensure the towns historic preservation, and the many fine restaurants contribute to the special atmosphere that brings back visitors time and time again.

Narrow cobbled streets that wind away from the harbour with bougainvillea covered wooden ottoman balconies and historic architecture are typical of the old town, and the warm Turkish hospitality will stay with you long after your holiday is over.

The main season begins in the first week of May, through to end of October, although April and Novermber are still good times to visit. For detailed weather information from the Kalkan travel site .


The nearest airport to Kalkan is Dalaman. There are a number of airlines that fly to this destination from the major UK airports. Antalya, to the east is a three hour transfer to Kalkan, however in the winter there may be a wider availability of flights from the UK.

Tourist Visas

Tourist Visa should be purchased prior to travel. These can be purchased online from the following website - www.evisa.gov.tr. The cost is USD 20 per person.

Please note that you need to pay this money for each person travelling with you – children included – regardless of whether they are on your passport or not.

France, Germany, Sweden, Holland, New Zealand and others do not require a visa just a valid passport.

Please ensure your passport is valid for the period of travel and for six months after your return.

It is recommended that you check the latest visa and passport requirements with your embassy before planning a trip to Turkey. These rules are subject to changes very often.

Travel Insurance

Please make sure that all members of your party are fully insured for your holiday in Turkey. If you are going to be taking part in water sports or outdoor activities, make sure that your policy covers this.

Health Care

If any prescription medication is being taken abroad, make sure you bring documentation for the medication and sufficient supplies.

As Turkey is not part of the EU private healthcover is necessary. Please ensure all members of your party have adequate travel insurance to cover any medical costs.

Travel Documents

Take photocopies of your passport and other important documents and keep these separate from the originals when you travel, to ensure that if your documents are lost or stolen, that you have adequate copies at hand.


If you plan to drive abroad, make sure that your licence is current and valid, and that you are aware the driving laws which apply. You will need to carry your passport and drivers' licence along with the vehicle documentation and. The Jandarma (Traffic Police) stop cars as a matter of routine and if you are stopped, you will be expected to produce this documentation.

There is zero tolerance on drink driving if you are carrying any passengers - this is 0.05% if you are alone, less than 1 unit. Being breathalysed is not uncommon, so not worse the risk.
